So I’ve been sitting on this news for a few months, pending resolution of about a million little details. However, now that everything is official, I can finally share a thing that’s happening:
I’m under contract to write a book called The Readers’ Advisory Guide to Science Fiction for ALA Editions (the publishing arm of the American Library Association). Like other volumes in this series, it’s aimed at librarians and other readers’ advisory practitioners who serve adult genre fiction readers.
Which means that my life, for the next couple of years, is going to be all SF, all the time.
(That is only a slight exaggeration.)
It also means that I’ll likely be using this blog to track my reading; jot down thoughts and observations; compile lists and other resources; and generally reflect on the ever-expanding universe of SF.
