It is a rainy day, this first day of Spring. I don’t mind, because I can see the world waking up all around me.
I can’t wait to spend more time outdoors; I hate being cooped up inside.
In other news, I got accepted to the Program. Thanks to Night School, I can transfer some credits and reduce my first-year course load by half, then step it up during year two. Knowing that I’ve already completed 20% of this degree makes me more excited and less nervous than I’d otherwise be; I’m looking forward to this new challenge, although I very much appreciate having Spring and Summer to relax…and prepare.
The Durham Coop Market is open for business! Since we walk past it twice a day going to and from work, we can just pick up items as needed, instead of coordinating an expedition — because acquiring groceries has, until a few days ago, been a fairly complicated process that involves mapping out optimal routes for securing diverse items from scattered locations.
Meanwhile, we’re trying to plan a vacation of some sort that doesn’t intersect with a.) work-related travel or b.) family get-togethers. We’ll see how that goes.
