Knobs & Holes

Which is to say, My Fella drilled some HOLES in order to install door KNOBS.

"hole saw"

To saw this particular hole, we required a special saw blade called — appropriately enough — a “hole saw.” The diameter is 2 1/8″, which I would not have known had it not been the one that was missing from the rack.

We found it eventually, although not before My Fella had a good grumble about the fact that the cheaper brands were all sold out.

I told him that we could always try and resell it. That, or see if anyone will hire him to install door knobs — or, perhaps, glory holes, for those who are into that sort of thing.

Anyway, as you can see from the photo below, our kitchen door now closes, thanks to its brand-new, just installed door knob.

Ooh matron, that’s a naughty title. I wish I were as handy as your Fella (or had a fella of my own who was handy. Jason is less-handy than I am, which is not much to begin with).

Grumble grumble fifteen dollar hole saw.
